The Son of the Wolf

‘Scruff’ McKenzie is a gold prospector and a practical man. If he wants a thing, he usually gets it. But when McKenzie lays his eyes on Zarinska, the daughter of the local indigenous chief, he might not get what he wants – as the Tanana tribe’s shaman is full of white men stealing their women.

'The Son of the Wolf' is a short story by Jack London. The story takes place in Yukon, Canada.

Jack London (1876–1916) was an American writer and social activist. He grew up in the working class, but became a worldwide celebrity and one of the highest paid authors of his time. He wrote several novels, which are considered classics today, among these 'Call of the Wild', 'Sea Wolf' and 'White Fang'.
